5 healthy habits for holidays

In these dates in which we are full of celebrations and family reunions, we usually put aside our healthy diet; however there are ways to keep a healthy lifestyle and also enjoy delicious food. Here are some keys.

1.       Drink water

To keep on with your healthy diet, we recommend you to drink at least 2 glasses of water before breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is mainly to keep our body hydrated. In addition, drinking it before each meal will help us control hunger.

2.       Try to eat less salt

With all the parties and celebrations, we commonly consume food with high amount of sodium. That’s why we recommend you to add less salt to your daily meals, so you can enjoy without limits the food in the reunions. 

3.       Avoid carbs at night

If you don’t have any party or reunion, try not to consume foods high in flours or sugars. Try on light dinners full of vegetables and proteins, but please, don’t miss dinner!

4.       Make exercise

This is one of the most important keys. Try to exercise yourself at least 30 minutes per day. This will help you to feel less guilty when eating snacks and you will feel more relaxed.

5.       Take care of your portions

If you go to a party or reunion, take care of the portions you serve to your dish, also prefer proteins before carbs. The main key is to eat in a balanced way.
