Apple pie

Ingredients

- A splash of Vainilla Molina

- 2 apples

- 25g of flour

- 125g of powdered almonds

- 125g of powdered sugar

- 125g of butter

- 20g of orange liqueur 

- 3 eggs 

- Sableé masa 

 

Sableé masa ingredients:

 

- A splash of Vainilla Molina

- 300g of flour

- 1 egg

- 150g of butter

- 100g of sugar            

Directions

Instructions for Sableé masa:

 

  1. Mix butter and flour until powdery.
  2. Use the mixture to form a circular mound with a hole in the center, and add the Vainilla Molina and all remaining ingredients to the center.
  3. Mix fully. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Take bowl out of the refrigerator, and use a rolling pin to flatten out the mixture into pieces 3mm wide.
  5. Cover and use when needed.

 

 For the pie: 

 

  1. Mix the butter with the almond powder and the powdered sugar until creamy.
  2. Add the eggs and the splash of Vainilla Molina, and mix all ingredients fully.
  3. Mix in all the flour and then the liqueur. Do not mix excessively!
  4. Place in ¾ of pie mold with Sableé masa.
  5. Peel the apples and slice thinly. Place apple slices over this in decorative form.
  6. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for approximately 40 minutes.
  7. Let cool and remove from mold. 

 

 

This pie can be topped with red cherry syrup to taste.
